RVMon’s easy-to-use quality monitoring of voice and video telephony reflects the network experience of voice/video end-users and RVMon offers the option of real-time metrics processing for VoIP network optimization and determination of corrective actions that can be used for ongoing optimization of the user experience. The RVMon QoE Server also enables monitoring, measurement and quantification of actual user experience, processing real-time metrics of the user's perceived objective and subjective media quality experience.

Real-time QoE Monitoring

The RVMon QoE Server displays a list of all active conferences and calls in the network. Clicking on a conference or call displays the list of participating endpoints and their QoE measurements. The RVMon QoE Server also displays alerts using colors and message boxes. In addition, alerts are displayed when pre-defined events (such as crossing a threshold) occur. The RVMon QoE Server collects diagnostics from devices including Radvision, Polycom, Lifesize, and Tandberg.
 
The RVMon QoE Server enhances VoIP Network diagnostics by measuring Audio MOS, Video MOS and QoE for any monitored endpoint.
 
The RVMon QoE Monitor monitors voice and video calls, diagnoses voice/video problems throughout the video network, and displays its findings in a clear visual display. The visual display provides users with a comprehensive and easily understood summary of the overall situation and location of problems.
 
Network quality and video services statistics can be displayed for active calls in real time, as well as for completed calls. They are presented in:

P2P, Conference Call monitoring

The RVMon Monitor monitors MCUs and endpoints, diagnosing their problems throughout the video network, presenting the results as a general picture of Network Quality and the Quality of Network-related User Experience. Network quality and video services statistics can be displayed online or offline. The RVMon Collector communicates with each device and aggregates all information for measuring audio and video MOS in real-time.

Configured Alerts including threshold settings and alarm notification

The alarm notification user interface allows users to monitor and configure a wide range of color-coded alarm data which you can access, collect and display around the clock. Users benefit from the system's time-saving functionality, relevant exportable reports and security features. Users can configure alarms at various levels, view alarm notifications, and export a variety of reports.

Report Module

RVMon's Report module focuses on the voice and video quality of VoIP calls, including cause analysis and recommendations for quality improvement. In addition to the media quality report, it provides a Call Detail Record (CDR) as well as basic peer-to-peer and conferencing usage information.

Performance analysis, including QoE trends and QoE Reports

RVMon QoE Summary Report displays the sample size of calls and aggregate values for audio and video MOS, allowing you to understand the average level of media quality of the monitored audio calls at a glance and includes network MOS, cause analysis and suggestions for quality improvement. It clarifies network usage details and call quality measurements by including:

Call quality per location, endpoint, etc.

Improving Video Quality

Since the quality of a video stream is calculated on the basis of compression quality and transmission quality, several causes can be responsible for video quality degradation. RADVISION's QoE algorithm, in addition to assessing real-time video quality, enables detailed cause analysis.
When the RVMon performs monitoring on Radvision devices such as Radvision endpoints and Radvision MCU, additional information enables even more accurate measurement of QoE.
 

Real-time bandwidth monitoring

Real-time bandwidth monitoring allows you to discern the actual amount of bandwidth being used and proactively trace usage trends, bottlenecks, and connectivity errors, making it easier for network administrators to decide how to balance and route their traffic and what purchases to make for improving the flow of data within the network. In addition, bandwidth monitoring software can be used to alert administrators about network load issues, breached bandwidth thresholds, etc.
