RADVISION developed unique VQ algorithms and a method to enhance the ITU-T standard G.1070 with proprietary advanced technology. RADVISION integrates an objective element that uses previously-collected data to develop an automatic system that rates VQ just as the human eye would – in addition to techniques that take into consideration advanced image-analysis factors. The RADVISION VQ SDK performs video quality analysis in several modes: Sharpness, Motion and Even. The mode choice should suit the video content type as well as user preferences. For example, the Motion mode may be the most suitable for action movies and sports, whereas the Sharpness mode may be the most suitable for video conferences.
