BEEHD Cloud Architecture

BEEHD Cloud Logic
The main component of the BEEHD Cloud is the BEEHD Cloud logic. The BEEHD Cloud logic retains the connectivity with the cloud's database, in which information about the connected BEEHD applications is kept. This component takes care of all logic and policies related to the BEEHD Cloud and provides the glue between the various components.

REST APIs Server
The REST APIs Server is a simple asynchronous Web server that handles all incoming HTTP requests, be they requests for the BEEHD Cloud's various Web pages or all API requests sent to the BEEHD Cloud and its connected BEEHD applications.
Most of the communication to the REST APIs Server comes from the vendor's own Application Server, where the exact business logic and created services maintained by the vendor are implemented. This communication can be maintained over a single HTTP connection, between server connections or from multiple Application Servers.

BEEHD Connector
The BEEHD Connector is the component that maintains the incoming connections from BEEHD-based applications to the cloud. It is built for speed, scale and locality:
  • The BEEHD Connector is optimized for speed and low latencies
  • The BEEHD Connector can be scaled out to multiple components. This allows it to scale easily to serve more clients, and positions it closer to the geographic location of these clients.


Software Download CDN
The Software Download CDN is a Content Delivery Network used by the BEEHD Cloud to enable a fast download mechanism for the vendor's BEEHD application to devices. This allows viral applications to be created in which the actual application is downloaded, installed and upgraded on demand in an ad-hoc fashion, without degrading the end user's experience. The Software Download CDN automatically handles the upgrade needs of the vendor’s various applications, based on the policy outlined by the vendor.

Directory Service
The Directory Service is an optional component of the BEEHD Cloud that enables the easy creation and deployment of services that require lightweight presence capabilities or ad-hoc dialing from a networked directory. These services enable registration and sign-in procedures for the end users of BEEHD-based applications, as well as management of their personal address books.

Fully hosted by RADVISION or provided as a software solution to be hosted by our customers, the BEEHD Cloud comprises the following functional elements.



APIs
Provide control and management interface of BEEHD based devices connected to the cloud. This allows configuring parameters of devices and building customized, Web-based, hosted provisioning mechanisms, as well as sophisticated ones such as developing complex service functionality like fully-fledged video contact centers that connect to third-party CRM products.

Launcher
The Launcher provides an easy mechanism for BEEHD-based applications to be installed, upgraded and launched directly from the Web. BEEHD-based applications can interact with Web pages by employing a specially-built extension that is suitable for all major browsers.
 
The Launcher enables managing multiple software versions of the same application, as well as customized configuration and execution parameters that allow support of virtually any type of use case requiring an Internet Website.

Directory
The Directory service provides a repository of user information, along with a database of contacts for each user in the system. This enables backing up and synchronizing a user's phonebook with the BEEHD Cloud and maintaining a simple and powerful presence system.

Applications
Applications provides ready-made, pluggable applications that can be controlled and managed by vendors. This service allows faster time to market and enables immediate Proof of Concept capabilities for some of the most widely-used use case scenarios.
