Complete Desktop Client Engine:
Multi protocol support (SIP, H.323); media control and codecs; superior video and audio quality; optimized for desktop PCs.

Telephony Services:
Provides standard telephony services, such as Call, Caller ID, N-Way Calls, Multi-line support); and supplementary services, such as Hold, Mute, Transfer, Forward, Call Waiting; as well as simple integration with high level APIs.

Pre-integrated with Hardware Platform:
Provides optimized solution for Intel base platforms (desktops) with short integration time with peripherals, such as cameras, speakers, microphones, etc.

IM/Presence Service Module:
Standards-based instant messaging protocol (MSRP); interoperability with other instant messaging; standards-based Presence protocol (SIMPLE, XDM); service modules handle all Presence and IM application APIs.
BEEHD for Desktop is a multi-protocol, supporting both SIP and H.323. This enables the end product to be used in any video conferencing deployment without a gateway element. 

The BEEHD for Desktop is part of the BEEHD family client products and is based on the BEEHD core which provides one single implementation for all the BEEHD variants and also provides one set of API’s. customer who wishes to integrate with more than one BEEHD product can use the same integration and API’s on different products. The API’s provided by the BEEHD core are simple to use and integrate for any kind of application without a need for through understanding of video conferencing (on both signaling and media)
