IMS is the cornerstone of Next Generation Networks (NGN) and is being adopted by mobile, wireline and wireless service providers alike.
IMS is a complex network architecture that encompasses a large number of standards – handled by different standardization bodies. As a result, true interoperability can only be handled on an industry-wide level. Few, if at all, industry-wide organizations exist.
RADVISION identified this shortcoming, and initiated an IMS interoperability group within the IMTC. The IMTC is the leading global consortium dedicated to the advancement of open standards and interoperability.
RADVISION was honored to be asked to chair the IMS Activity Group. Current members include industry giants such as Ericsson, Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Samsung, Motorola, Sharp and others:

RADVISION is also promoting and educating the market about interoperability aspects related to IMS at the IMTC’s blog.
Besides interoperability organizations and market education, RADVISION’s IMS technology and the IMS Development Suite, for both clients and servers, was demonstrated LIVE at 3GSM 2007 by two of the world’s largest Telco equipment manufacturers and operators - Alcatel and Telefonica.
